So, Esther of Style Krush did this tag on her blog and basically tagged everyone who wanted to do it.
I found this so interesting and since I love traveling so much I thought I would do it too! :)
Hope you enjoy it!
1.
Your most treasured passport stamp?
I don’t even know if I have
a most treasured one, I mean, I love to travel and I've visited so many
beautiful places all around the world. It has always been a dream of mine to
visit Asia though (especially Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, the
Philippines, etc..) so if I should choose, I’ll say India because it was on my
wishlist since I was a little girl (being a Bollywood fan also had an impact
haha :p) and also my U.S one because like a lot of people I wanted to live “the
American Dream” :p
2. Can you recite your
passport # from memory if asked?
Totally haha. I've traveled so much that I know it by heart.
3. Preferred method of
travel; planes, trains or automobiles?
Without hesitation planes.
It’s faster, and in my personal experience, it gives me less aches. I’m kind of
weird in the sense that I get sick pretty easily in public transports,
especially buses, and anything that bounces so I’m not really a fan of
travelling by automobiles. There are instances where I don’t have a choice
though, so I’ll sleep to avoid getting sick lol. I’m okay with trains too but
if I have to choose I’ll say planes.
4. top 3 travel items?
First I always need a book.
That’s actually one of the thing I’m thankful for when traveling. I used to be
such a book addict, but with school and everything I don’t have time. The only
moment I can fully enjoy my books is when I travel, so I always get a book.
Second is music. I can’t
live without it, I’m always listening to it whether I’m home, going out, or
just doing nothing. For long distance travel it’s more than necessary for me to
have my music, it makes it more enjoyable.
Finally I need my camera. I
love taking pictures so it is a must-have
5. Hostel or hotel?
I mean it all depends on
what you are willing to spend and what type of environment you are looking for.
If you are all about living the tourist life to the fullest, in a chic and
expensive-looking place, well you should get in a hotel. If you would rather
not spend a lot of money, and get to be in a warmer atmosphere, talk with
people, etc. you should get in a hostel. Personally I have never been in a
hostel, so I can’t really compare.
6. Are you a repeat visitor
or do you explore new places?
Even though I love
repeating visits to places I particularly enjoyed, I think it’s actually better
to explore new places. As I said before, I love travelling, and every time I've been given the opportunity I went to new places.
7. Do you read up on your
destination (culture, history, safety) or do you wing it?
I think it’s fascinating to
learn about the place you’re going to visit before you get there, so that when
you get there it’s almost like you knew the place before. So yes I read up on
it. Also it can help if you’re travelling alone to read about the safety.
8. Favorite travel
website?
In term of prices, I like
Kayak a lot but I don’t know if it’s my favorite travel website. I like to have
a lot of options, so I like to look around before making any decisions. And
also, it hasn't been that long since I started managing my own stuff in terms
of travelling. Up until when I started college, my mum was basically doing all
the research :p
9. Where would you
recommend a friend to visit? Name city & why.
This is the hardest
question ever haha. I have a favorite in every continent I visited haha so I guess
I’ll pick one in each :p and I’ll pick countries instead of cities because it’s
easier.
In Africa, well obviously
my country Ivory Coast, because it’s such a nice and warm place, people are
nice, the food is amazing, we love to have fun! You can never get bored over
there :)
In Europe, Germany, (especially
Berlin). It’s big and beautiful, calm and it definitely caught my heart.
In Asia, India, because the
food is amazing, the girls are SO SO SO beautiful omg I was amazed, and it’s
definitely different from anything you experienced before
In America, well the U.S,
especially California, because the people are the best in here! SO kind and
open-minded, there is any kind of food you could think of, and also there are
many places to visit
I’m missing Oceania though,
Australia I’ll come soon you’ll see :p
And as you can see I love
food a lot haha :p
10. You're leaving
tomorrow, money is no option, where are you going?
Definitely Malé in the Maldives. Right now all I need is the beach, a place
to relax and think, take care of myself and take amazing pictures because this
place looks like heaven!!
And I tag everyone that want to do it! Don't forget to send me the link though :)
