Nails | Gradient Love + Current nailart

Monday, February 25, 2013

Hi guys, I hope you're all doing good!
Some of you might have noticed (through my instagram especially) that I kind of love the gradient trend on nails! I can pretty much do it forever and not get bored because there is such a big range of colors I can use, and also I can draw on it if it's too plain... In a nutshell, I love gradient too much!
I've put some below so that you could see what I've done before

At first I was kind of playing it safe, combining colors that seemed to match, but then I started being crazier with my color combo, and now I pretty much try to combine colors that you wouldn't think would look good together!

My current nails is a good example of weird color combo that actually looks nice (at least in my opinion :P)
I had some people asking me to put tutorials, I really s*ck at doing those but I tried! Tell me if it helped!

I used
Essence Colour & Go - Lime Up!
O.P.I (Pirate of the Caribbean collection) - Planks A Lot
P2 Color Victim - Can't Get Enough
Stripe Brush
Top Coat
A Make Up Sponge

1. Paint your nails with your base color (I use the green)
2. Paint a make up sponge with the colors you'd like (I've seen people put only colors one at a time, I like to add them all, base color included) so they can blend better.
3. Stamp the sponge on your nails in a dapping motion, and let it dry, then repeat step 2 & 3 (I did it twice)
4. You can start doing lines the way you want
5. More lines
6. More lines and dots, then finish off with a top coat

And Voila!!!! Here is the finished result! Hope you like it! :)
